Is the Studio only for filming / recording / streaming?
Not at all! The Studio was inspired by a black box theatre, with a lighting and sound setup designed for live experiences.
How many attendees can the Studio accommodate?
Our custom-built table can fit 1 GM and 6 players in RPG mode, or 8 players total in board game mode.
Our tech desk can also seat 1 guest operator / producer in addition to our staff.
Where is the Studio located?
We are at Unit 5, 233 Cardigan St, Carlton 3053. The room itself is inside Elder Gods and Dragons, on the ground floor.
The closest tram stop is #3 Lincoln Square/Swanston St (routes 1, 3, 5, 6, 16, 64, 67, & 72).
The closest train stations are Parkville and Melbourne Central.
Where can I park?
There is on-street parking on Cardigan St, meter-paid from 7am to 7pm with a 2-hour limit.
There is paid off-street parking at Ace Parking on the corner of Cardigan St and Grattan St.
Outside of business hours, we may be able to offer free parking in our onsite car park depending on availability.
Is the Studio wheelchair accessible?
Yes – the Studio space is located on the ground floor with a doorway width of 86cm. Enter on the right side of the car park to use the slope (instead of the steps on the left).
We regret that our small bathroom is not very wheelchair friendly; the doorway is 66cm wide, without much space for a turning circle.
Are food and drink permitted in the Studio?
Yes, outside food and drink are permitted. Drinks must have a lid or be in cans.
Alcohol is not permitted.
Drinks and snacks are available for purchase at the front desk.
